Umberto Hizkiyahu Genazzani (Nitzani)

Included in the collection a set of recordings made in July of 1956 by Leo Levi in Firenze, recording melodies for festival days and days of awe from the voice of Umberto Gennazzani, who had learned the music in Florence as a young man before making aliyah in 1939: he is one of the principal figures responsible for the adoption of the Florence/Leghon ritual by the Italian synagogue in Jerusalem.
