This radio-documentary was written by Pinchas Lapide author of one of the earliest accounts on the Jewish converts of Sannicadro whom he met during the Liberation was in the south of Italy. Lapide wrote extensively on the Jews of Sannicandro, including a book - "Der Prophet von San Nicandro", Vogt, Berlin 1963 - that was translated into several languages. These radio-documentary was part of a radio broadcasting series produced in Johannesburg at the Universal Recording Studios, under the sponsorship of the South African Zionist Federation in collaboration with Kol Tzion la-Golah in Jerusalem.
