Rav Vittorio Chaim Della Rocca was born in Rome in 1933. He studied at the Collegio Rabbinico in Rome, becoming maskil in 1959 and chacham shalem (rabbi) in 1982. He was selected by the famous rabbi and chazan David Prato to serve as chazan in Rome after the war; he continued to serve as chazan, teacher and rabbi for all his life until he passed away in 2021.
