Born in Firenze, 31/05/1913. Studies at the Collegio Rabbinico di Firenze and Collegio Rabbinico di Roma. Chazan in Firenze since the early 1930s, then assistant rabbi to rabbi Nathan Cassuto. Acting Chief Rabbi in Firenze since after the war, is formally Chief Rabbi from 1963 to 1978. Dies in Firenze, 11/04/1998.

Notes on recording

The original recording, made on cassette tape for the bar mitzwah of Daniele Coen in Florence, includes the repetition of the last words of the hagbahah, the berakhot before and after an aliyah, the calls for the various readers, and all the pishgot of the parashah; then the chetzi qaddish, and the last reading for the maftir. The recording includes also the kiddush for Shabbat morning which the bar mitzwah would have led in public after services (presented in a separate item).
