It is noteworthy that this part is written in the tenor/alto clef, and not the treble clef as we are used to seeing for soprano lines. This means that the first note in this manuscript is indeed a middle C, not an E like we might have assumed. Additionally, although this is a score for 3 voices, no third voice part-score has been located as of now.
