"...Until not many decades ago, Livorno Jews used to fast on the 22nd of Shevat, because in 1742 the Comunità was saved from an earthquake that threatened the whole city... Rabbi Malakhi ha-Kohen composed the liturgy for that day, Qol tefillah and Shivche Todah (5504). The following Shabbat was called “Shabbat of the earthquakes”, and it was customary to recite the complete Hallel with a solemn tone. .." [from rav A.
