Notes on text

The Yehuda Halevy complete poem's full text includes 82 quatrains arranged in two complete alphabetical acrostics and two authorial acrostics. Bolaffi's rendering puts to music the introductory verses and the first 22 quatrains, i.e. the first alphabetical acrostic; it is written with two intermediate titles interrupting the score, one for the quatrain starting with the quotation from megillat Ester, ויהי בימי אחשורוש and the other one for the last qutrain, תשועה זות.
