Born in Venice on 23 February 1952, Raffaele Grassini studied at the the Collegio Rabbinico italiano where he obtained the rabbinical degree in 1973. He also studied at Yeshivat Merkaz Harav and Makhon Lifshitz, Israel. He was a licensed shochet and a sofer. He was rabbi in Trieste and then in Venice. He passed away in Strasbourg, France, on 28.06.1992.
